Research

 

Vance joined the BME-lab from August 2014 to August 2015. His Master’s thesis focused on creating a wastewater bio-solid land use application database as well as quantifying the association between land use application and perfluorinated compound (PFC) contamination in Cape Fear River Basin.

Prior to graduate school, Vance worked as a research assistant at Dr. John Reinfelder’s trace metal lab at Rutgers University. he conducted research on mercury bioaccumulation in various fish species from estuarine environment and studied the bioavailability of MMHg in marine phytoplankton (Tw) and in polar krill.

 


Career

 

Environmental Data Analyst,

Main duties included collecting and analyzing water quality data for water utilities and supporting the development of an online GIS platform WaterSuite. Vance was also specializing in GIS mapping with a focus on hydrological toolsets, and chemical fate and transport modeling.

Credit Suisse, 11/2016-Present

Main duty is performing KYC due diligence for Credit Suisse’s investment banking clients.
